Serena Gundy is another of our regular quick-and-easy parks. It has a lot packed into and around it: a large off-leash dog park, horse stables, long steep hills down from Sunnybrook Hospital and Bloorview Rehab where cyclists and runners train, many picnic areas, but most importantly.... really nice paths to wander!
We enter by walking to the far east end of Broadway Ave in Leaside and then continuing straight into the park. You can also enter off of Leslie Ave., just north of Eglinton. There is an entrance on the west side of Leslie, which immediately splits to head north and south. If you go south you get to the parking area for Thomas Seton Park. If you go north you drive between Serena Gundy Park(on the west side) and Wilket Creek Park(on the east side). To wander Serena Gundy Park choose the first parking lot on your left and head across the little bridge
Each of these parks is not very big. However, they are all connected and the net result is large and full of gems to discover. Because the river and the paths meander we have managed to get briefly lost in Serena Gundy!
Here is a map of the area. Zoom out a bit and you'll see the connecting green areas: https://maps.google.ca/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&channel=sb&ie=UTF-8&q=Wilket+Creek+Park&fb=1&gl=ca&hq=wilket+creek+park+boundaries&cid=3417510184062234778&ei=KEEJU7C3DsruyQGr-IHwAg&ved=0CI8BEPwSMAs
